I noticed your post and thought I would post a reply. Here is a link to an article that addresses how stress may affect blood sugar:
www.prevention.com/mind-body/emotional-health/how-stress-impacts-high-blood-sugar-levelsFirst of all, even in non-diabetics, stress, fear and illness can cause high blood sugar temporarily, but when those causes are taken care of, the person's blood sugar will return to normal. If a person is diabetic or cannot metabolize carbohydrates normally, then that person's blood sugar may stay elevated. Elevated blood sugar may have different effects on people. Normally, when our blood sugar responds to stress, fear and illness by rising, it's to give us the energy to deal with the fear or illness and that's a good thing but when our bodies misfire and can't get it back to normal, that's when we have to take steps to control our blood sugar.
I hope you're doing better. If you have any questions about
this or food, come on over to the Diabetes forum and ask away!
