Prednisone side effect

Hi. I’m a 25-year-old healthy female. I took a 6-day cycle of 20mg of prednisone for 7 days because my doctor thought I had bronchitis. I noticed that while I was on the medicine, I would feel anxiety. And now that I have finished medication it has gotten worse. I've never had anxiety prior to this. Do you think it will it take a while to get out of my system as I've never taken it before?

Sorry to hear you are having anxiety this might be due to the prednisone but I would check things out with your doctor.

pred is famous for causing anxiety. you should be ok after a few days

I am sorry you are currently dealing with anxiety.

Some steroids, and some antibiotics are known for thisneffect...

...but I agree with Hibee's advice of consulting your doctor to be sure.
