Help with Zoloft side effects

I think I've found the sweet spot for my Zoloft dosing: 25mg in the morning and 25mg when I go to bed. I feel good mentally and physically, for the most part.

Last night going into the early hours of this morning I was restless and today, I've progressively been feeling restless and on edge.

Is this common? I'm nervous that it might be serotonin toxicity but the only symptoms of that I feel I have are the agitation and a somewhat frequent need to use the toilet, which I understand are normal side effects anyway.

Since you have been going up and down the last few weeks...it is not unexpected to have some start-up like effects, ie, increased anxiety...so know this should pass soon.:)

Many people on SSRI's worry about Seratonin Syndrome, or toxicity...but in fact it is very rare.

You are not on multiple Rx's, nor are you anywhere near (or exceeding) a maximum dose...common caues for the issue.

Try to have faith that all is going well, and you are finding the sweet spot as you say! :)

Thanks for the reassurance, S.C. I've been dealing with a strong sense of detachment for a while now and I think the new med regimen I've started may have solved that, as I'm feeling a lot more with it and not all foggy in my head.

Last night was when I properly noticed and I was fairly giddy because I hadn't felt like it in so long.

I think I may just be over-reacting and had too much caffeine over the course of today (I was just happy last night, not agitated or anything).

zoloft should only be taken in the am. it s stimulating and will cause insomnia if taken at nite.
