Today was my pre-op appointment for my surgery next Wednesday. I'm still waiting on the results of the blood/urine etc. BUT....
We finally found something in my body that is working correctly! My EKG was good.
I wouldn't have been surprised if they found problems, but I am glad they didn't. My sister has had several heart procedures, so there was reason for concern.
I'm beyond grateful that today's appointment was fast, and I was left with a feeling of contentment. I know I will be in good hands next week. The staff at this hospital (which I've never been a patient in) was amazing.
More good news. I saw my othro surgeon yesterday, and he said my shoulder surgery is on hold since I had such good results from my physical therapy. Yay me!
I am to keep doing the exercises at home, and if when the steroid shot wares off, the pain comes back we will do an out patient scope procedure to look in there, and find the problem. Otherwise, I may not have to have the surgery for a very long time.
I am getting a brace and some topical pain meds for my elbow tomorrow, and hoping we can avoid moving my ulnar nerve. I am on a roll!!!
I have had so much anxiety this week, and haven't really been participating much here, but know I've been reading, and thinking/praying for all of you.
