The lack of interest is most definitely part of the depression. I think specifically it's that you have too little dopamine. There are natural supplements that claim to lift mood and motivation, but you would have to try to see. Based on my own personal research (which doesn't mean much!) I would recommend Rhodiola. You can Google it to learn more.
This is the advice I found on two different websites:
Look for a rhodiola extract derived from Rhodiola rosea root and standardized to contain 2-3% total rosavins and a minimum 0.8-1% salidrosides. Start with 100mg once a day for a week and then increase the dosage by 100mg every week (if needed), up to 400mg a day. While studies suggest that rhodiola reduces anxiety, some people might feel "revved" up from it, so take it in the morning.
