Really need a hug right now

Some of you might remember me posting a couple months ago my dog being poorly and how I don't think she would last much longer.

Just been told that we're gonna be letting her have a long rest (one that is rightly deserved). I thought I was prepared in that I knew my time with her was diminishing, but you can never fully prepare for this kind of thing

I am so sorry! You are right...there never is enough time...or preparation for this loss!

This is very difficult, and I am sending many thoughts, prayers and hugs for you and your family.

I do believe that our beloved pets go to Heaven...and although it doesn't make missing them much easier...there is some peace in believing we will see them again one day.

Thanks everyone for your well wishes and kind words.
Today, she has seemed a little better - she's been moving around a bit more and getting more excited when people walk in the house, closer to her usual self.

Today, we made the hard choice to have her put down. She was clearly suffering and tired, to where she could barely stand. She passed away 2 hours ago peacefully.

It's only just sunk in and now I can't stop crying.

It is so hard to lose a beloved pet, but you gave her a great life, and did the right thing in letting her go when the time came.
