Hello HW family!
You hear us (Hibee and I) banging on about
the importance of coping skills and using the self help available in our Resources...
...so I wanted to explain the reason why this is so often brought up here.
It is simply this:
It works, it is free, it can be done virtually anytime/anywhere...and it can stand alone, enhance therapy, or work in combination with medication. (depending on individual needs)
While doing some digging into why self help works...I came across this article. It's one of the best I've read in awhile. I am posting it below of course, but also considering it for our Resources. (Hibee let me know what you think)
