Do you take a vitamin D3 supplement? If not you might want to consider it. Vit D deficiency has many symptoms and a lot of ppl aren't even aware. Numbness & tingling, body aches, depression, fatigue, etccccc. Same can be said for magnesium Deficiency.
I'm taking 5000 D3/daily (I was deficient) & 200 magnesium chelate/daily. I was having symptoms of low D w/joint aches & pains. After a month on it, I felt so much better. I had been on Mag but stopped it in early July bc i was having diarrhea & someone told me to stop it for a bit & see if my gastric problem went away & it did. In Aug, a cpl of weeks after stopping the Mag, I started having some pains again and weird new symptoms, all over subtle body tingles. Just started Mag back last week or 2 weeks ago the mag chelate doesn't give me gastric problems.
Anyway, I've now learned that mag & D deficiency are very common & often mimic autoimmune/neurological disorders & both should be taken together bc the D uses your bodies Mag to work so you should supplement the mag.
I'm even seeing a Rheumatologist bc my symptoms worried me. Everything is negative (except 2 tests showed elevated mild inflammation but I am overweight & that can cause/affect inflammation which can then show in the tests I had- SED rate & C-reactive protein, that showed mildly elevated). Dr doesn't think neurological. I see him again next month for follow up so I'm praying the tingles are from mag deficiency & starting supplements will decrease or make them stop, by the time I see him again.
So- get your D checked! In the meantime, it can't hurt to start supplementing with 3000-4000 D3/daily. Of course I'm not a Dr., so you should consult first but I'm sure they'd tell you over the phone it's safe & to try it out).
Hugs!
