Effexor day 7

Hi All! Day 7 of Effexor for me. Has anyone ever gotten a weird taste in their mouth and or dry cotton mouth from Effexor? Heartburn?

Hi Beth

I used to take Effexor and did get a weird taste in my mouth and a very dry mouth but it did improve so hopefully it's just some temporally side effects.

Beth,

I have taken Effexor XR for years. I never had a weird taste in my mouth from it, but yes it does make your mouth dry and yes it gives you heartburn. I take protonix to combat the heartburn that goes along with it.

Stick with it, it is a great medication. If there are any other questions you have regarding the medication, I'd be happy to talk with you.
