New psychiatrist!!!!

Hey all! For a few months now I've been going to mental health therapist or counselor-- he is the greatest guy ever! My primary care doctor was prescribing my medicine, however she does not want to do it anymore so I get to see a psychiatrist finally. I'm excited as it is about time. Maybe I will become human again! Lol

I am very happy that you will be seeing a P doc for your Rx needs now, as this is the most knowledgeable of doctors regarding psychotropics.

I hope this is a great change and experience for you!

Will you be able to continue seeing your therapist as well? This would really be the best of both worlds. :)

Don't mean to dampen your spirit but psychiatrist don't seem human to me at all these days ,all act like robots and dislike them all,not having good interaction or at interaction at all.

Bunch of zombies...sorry but that's my opinion.

In my experience I have always seen good psychiatrists and they have always been very understanding and helpful but you do need to do a bit of prep before you go here is a link to a post I did a while back regarding first visits I hope you find it useful.
