A Camping We Will Go....

Hey HW family,

We are going for a quick camping get away to the redwoods until Sunday.

The hubs and the kids actually already left this evening...

...and I will join them tomorrow after my morning classes.

Truth be told...1 night, 2 days is a perfect amount of time, IMO...
so I don't mind meeting up with them tomorrow. ;)

I'll be back on the forums Sunday night.

So much fun!!

It was a GORGEOUS weekend to be outdoors!

The Redwood forests here in NorCal are breaktakingly beautiful...and for less than an hour's drive...we can be out among them camping our favorite spots.:)

We had great walks, food, games...and it was a good little get away that we needed.

I only had one little glitch...woke up in the middle of the night disoriented for a few seconds...enough for me to panic a bit. My heart rate shot up, and I was dizzingly claustraphobic for a second until I got my bearings, and could locate the flashlight and know where the tent zipper was!

I used my postive mantras and breathing to calm down and get back to sleep....and to be honest, I had self sabotaged a bit with a little too much in terms of the camping spirits...LOL!

All in all, great time! Thanks for the well wishes everybody. :)

I always wanted to see the Redwood Forest- I remember being a youngster in school and seeing a picture of a tree so large a passageway was cut through it and cars drove through it

God, I need a dirty weekend camping too, haven't had a holiday for ages.
