Ok, I've talked with my Psychologist, she has told that she can't give me medication, so I have to consult it with a Psychiatrist, my mom says that we could go, but we have to think about it, thanks to everyone for the support

You're right, psychologists are just counselors, but they are still very helpful. Probably more so than psychiatrists. My psychiatrist prescribes drugs and asks me how I am, but doesn't want details. I think going to the psychologist while also starting a medication is a good idea, so you can get some support (other than here, of course!). :)

my last p doc was that way . asked how i was but didnt want details. he was only intersted in how many patients he could get in and out as fast as possiable

Therapy is essential...so you'll want to stay in sessions with your psychologist for sure...

...but adding in an Rx could help you if you still need help in managing the anxiety.

Medicating a young person, (adolescent) can be tricky...so a P- doc (psychiatrist) is the best person to consult...and for monitoring you if you do go on a med.

Hi

Yes a pdoc are the best people to see regarding medications as they are the experts in this field.

In my case I have found a combination of medications along with talking therapy (Schema Therapy) has been the most effective.
