Hello,
I am sorry you're having these symptoms; they definitely sound painful, uncomfortable, and scary. I have actually experienced headaches like that before, too. Pain behind the eye can be a symptom of a brain aneurysm, but it can also be a symptom of migraines and regular old headaches. However, if you are worried, please tell your doctor. Your doctor could refer you to a neurologist or order an MRI. I had an MRI last year for severe daily headaches and it turns out I just have migraines! Also, I am a pre-med student and shadowed a neurosurgeon for one semester. If a patient has an aneurysm, it has to become fairly large for it to burst. Many times brain aneurysms are so small that they have virtually a zero percent chance of rupture within the next 5 years (after diagnosis). It is unlikely that you have an aneurysm, but like I said, absolutely tell your doctor if you are worried. I am hyperaware of my body and symptoms, so I generally tend to think of the worst case scenarios. However, the anxiety from thinking of worse case scenarios can make me feel worse. Perhaps it might be helpful to remember the medical saying: "When you hear hoofbeats, think of horses, not zebras". I hope you are able to experience relief from your symptoms and the anxiety.
