It is really getting bad, after the Paris attack and it's raising my anxiety for sure.

Freaked out? No. Sad? Yes.
There are some news and TV shows/movies that I cannot and will not watch. I recognize some of this stuff is a trigger for me and to expose myself repeatedly or even occasionally is counterproductive. There are ways to keep up on current events, good and bad, and not allow yourself to increase your anxiety level.
Many times you can read Headlines and know what is happening without exposing yourself to the details. If watching the news about
the Paris attacks increases your anxiety it would be a good idea, for your mental health, to not listen or watch. Small amounts might be okay but to watch and listen day after day probably isn't.
I have a tendency to literally feel what others are feeling. Watching/listening to the injured, witnesses and survivors can be too overwhelming for me. To do so repeatedly will cause me harm (PTSD symptoms, anxiety/panic attacks).

I think it gives me anxiety because of the "what if" factor. Can't help but let my mind go there. My heart also breaks for the people involved in the horrific things that happened :(

It saddens me that an event like this has taken. It brings me some anxiety knowing that this is how our world may be for a while.

sad of the senseless taking of life.
sadder that terrorism takes up all media, whereas in my country the largest single killer of people is suicide, and it is not recorded by the coroner, thus heart disease is and is recognised as the single biggest killer.
media is money, and sensationalized fear mongering bs.

I am both worried and sad. Many innocent lives are gone.
It happens in my homeland, europe, everywhere.
