It could also be that the physical senstations of eating are triggering the anxiety, without you even being fully aware of them.
When we start to digest, the heart rate increases...body temperature can drop initially, then increase...
These are things you may associate with the physical effects of anxiety...therefore in a subliminal way, causing anxious feelings to arise in response.
As Hibbe suggested, working coping skills is a great way to manage GAD...
...and you can also try a postive mantra when the anxiety arises after a meal...something like:
"This is just the normal digestion process I am noting. These feelings and the anxiety will pass with time, and as I practice my coping skills."
