I can't see a doctor until January and I'm forbidden to go to A&E by my family. At the same time, I am having ongoing symptoms of asthma, and at worst, repeated mild attacks. Only my blue Ventolin inhaler helps, but it only lasts an hour. After that my body demands a top up, and it's the only thing, besides assuming the "Tripod" position" that will help.
I don't want to leave this; I've read about
people getting so reliant on inhalers that they eventually fail to work and the body gets a serious asthma attack that can't be stopped. At the same time, I can't not take the inhalers, as my body is in need of them. What should I do? Is it possible that taking the inhalers has worsened any asthma I may have, or that I never had asthma and I'm getting "rebound" bronchoconstriction from relying on the blue inhaler too much?!
EDIT: Puffing up my chest helps too. Hurts my back to no end though. Apparantly it activates the diaphragm, not that I know what that means. Why would this help?
