Wanting to stop taking BusPar

So I have taken this for a weak now helped some yes. yesterday had a dizzy spell around 4pm. Not sure why. I took a pill 430. took one this morning 830. I think ill take one for dinner and stop see how it goes?

I am a little confused as to why you want to stop if you it has helped you to some degree? Is it the dizziness?

Have you talked to your prescribing doctor about how to proceed? That would be my first step.

Wishing you the guidance you need. Let us know what he/she advises.

Unless you are getting the dizziness shortly after taking the pill, it's probably not caused by buspar. Make sure you are eating before you are taking your dose.

If you've only been on buspar for 1 week, you are not getting the full effect of the medication. But if you would like to stop taking it, my psych said there would be no discontinuation symptoms...especially if you've only taken it randomly for a week. It has a super short half life at only 4 hours and it would be almost all out of your system with a couple days.

But, if this med is helping you as you say, I would encourage you to keep going with it.
