I have been on the generic for Protonix for just over a year now and 99% of the time I have no heartburn at all. Well for the past couple of days I have been gassy and had heartburn bad. I am not sure why. Nothing is different except my anxiety levels. I do not like this as my anxiety is trying to go away and then my heartburn peaks and I fall right back into it. This is so stupid, it is heartburn nothing that I haven't had before. I am not new to this. Why is this so anxiety producing? I am too keyed up for my body to start this crap.

DG,
It's a vicious cycle...anxiety increases stomach acid...
...and the GERD increases your anxiety.:(
I am sorry this is a tough time for you currently. Do your best to manage both the issues with the tools you have!

Well the heartburn is better and anxiety is figured out. My monthly curse is here and I it is a whomper this month. I am also not sleeping well so a combination of things this month. I will be fine in a few days after the start up starts. Lol. Sometimes anxiety feels like a losing battle but that is only the anxiety trying so hard to win. I am just going to try to relax and breathe and sleep the best that I can tonight and tomorrow will be better. Well I am off. Night all.

Thank you Larry.
Last night was a better night. I slept a bit more than I have lately. Thank God. I am still tired but not near as bad. I have been eating a lot of crackers to absorb the acid and it has been helping so I am feeling better.

I am also not sleeping well
Hi DawnGrump, have you tried elevating the head end of your bed so you're sleeping on a slight angle?

Dawn, i also use crackers, it seems the baking soda in the formula is what helps, I also use baking soda about
once or twice a week, One level tea spoon to at least 8oz of water, more water the better, it makes a big difference to me. Peace
