Hi all!
Sorry for long text and TMI
Since I returned back from my trip to Sweden 2 months ago, I am having this slight burning/urgency sensation in urethra. It makes me wake up during night time and I feel the toilet need as a burning sensation there. Then it feels like my job is not done on toilet so it makes me sit there for a while until I strain the last drops out. With straining, it burns and stings more and more which makes me anxious.
Everything started when got intimacy with my hubby again after 1 months vacation, you know what I mean, and I actually had pain during that time. Then this burning/stinging started especially when I start urination and too much burning at the end of it. I also feel this burning as my alert for going to toilet, which comes to me like an uncomfortable urgency feeling. I don't feel any pain in abdomen, stretchy feeling in bladder or any fever. I thought it was UTI and contacted dr, so they gave me antibiotics (Pivmecillinam) for 3 days. Urinalysis showed so much amount of WBC but urine culture showed no bacteria. On second time another antibiotics (nitrofurantoin), and on next dr visit WBC reduced quite much in urine. But still waiting for culture results.
I didn't pay any more attention but I started becoming very anxious about it since it didn't get better.
Every time drs say it is because of something either infection/inflammation or an irritation from shower soap/shampoo and now I am on my 3rd antibiotics (trimetoprim) and it doesn't seem to be getting well.
I am worrying too much now it can be something sinister bladder related?
Even though I know bladder c. is rare in my age (9 out of 10 cases are over 60 yrs old) and I don't smoke. But still can't help worrying much.
Anyone experienced long term burning+urgency+straining thingy like that?
I heard women can get various urethral annoyances even thought there is no UTI present.
