Low dose Klonopin and alcohol?

I was just recently prescribed 0.125 MG of dissolvable klonopin tablets as needed. I don't expect to be taking it more than a few times a month, twice a week at most. How long after taking klonopin should I wait to drink? I know many people say never to, but since I'm taking so little so infrequently, I figured it will be out of my system in a day or two. I only really drink once or twice a week at most.

Hello and welcome. You should consult your prescribing doctor about whether it is safe to have any alcohol as long as you are using a benzo. Most doctors say this is a big no...

...but at your low dose and infrequent use, it may be okay as long as your last dose has cleared your system.

The half life for Klonopin is between 30 to 40 hours. So if you had two days betwwrn your Rx and a drink ... (and your doctor approves)...you should be okay.
