It disappeared in like 10 seconds after closing my eyes though, but it felt as if everything was a dream.. Almost like when super man first sat in class and saw everything pulsating and seeing through things although I didn't see through anything. Just a similar experience.

Hi Dog,
Well it certainly sounds unusual. I would suggest going to your doctor and explaining what happened. It may be a fluke, but I'm not a doctor and can't say what was wrong. Your doctor may be able to point you in the right direction.

Now that I look back at it I feel like I was over exaggerating a little. It was scary and odd yes but no flashing lights just weird I think possibly my eyes haven't adjusted yet it did only take 5-10 seconds to go away. Also it says ssri cause weird vision sometimes. Also suggests my brain might of had parts that were still asleep. So I shall dismiss I guess

Dog,
Have you ever had a migraine before? This sounds like the visual aura that I get before one comes on. I have woken up with the predome issues, and the headache comes later...
(...which is not nearly as dramatic as the.symptoms leading up to it!)
Something to consider, but hopefully this was just a fluke and won't happen again. :)

Sorry to hear that Cat, but no I don't get headaches I was really tired and crashed back to sleep for another 2 hours and woke up with no problems. I am scared of the word aura because I am scared of seizures lol. I keep thinking I might have one and this kind of scared me into thinking what if...

Also how long does this aura last for you Cat? Mine was probably less than 10 seconds and brain was quite foggy when this happened

Dog,
The pre-migraine symptoms can last up to a couple of hours.
If your vision disturbance was only a few seconds...it sounds like just 'one of those things' that can happen...a glitch with your vision...nothing to worry about
. :)
We are organic beings, and as such...little off moments can happen. Everyone experiences this from time to time...
...but we with health anxiety tend to go on red alert
...whereas everyone else just shrugs it off and goes about
their day!
Peace and progress,

Lol Cat, I love this website and your support including everyone else of course.
I have been researching all day in conclusion coming to thinking I have MS. Your comment has Made me feel better you are right. I had an incident in 2011 New Years where the sky flashed multiple colors all across which was almost blinding sending me into an attack. Never happened again since than pretty scary back than I thought it was aliens lol now... Not so much
