Morning,

So I have noticed while watching computer screens recently eye floaters and all the sudden today my eye started to hurt now I feel twitching on same side as eye floaters and irritation which has turned to panic. As all probably know been to dr many times over last few months and all labs and test came back normal dunno if I should be concerns

I have seen floaters in my eyes since I was a young adult. I have always been told they are nothing to worry about.:)

I have also experienced twitching in/around my eyes...and again, benign...nothing to worry about.

However, since you are also experiencing pain, then an eye appointment might not be a bad idea, especially if you've not seen an opthamologist in some time.

Your symptoms are most likely due to eye strain, but going in might help put your mind at ease.:)

I also grind my teeth a lot on that side also when stressed can this cause eye pain?

If you start the day off withOUT the twitching or pain...then odds are it's eye strain and time to get a new prescription for your glasses.

I've never worn glasses before so guess it's time to schedule an appointment

I have had floaters all my life, i now have wet amd but i am 74 so who knows. Peace

Eye floaters are very common and benign ! I would definitely see an optometrist and maybe see if you can get a prescription!

Yeah, I have floaters too. Very common! Perhaps you do have some eye strain...that can make you feel weird by the end of the day. I had that really badly before getting my first pair of glasses some 26 years ago. Once the vision was corrected, no more eye strain.

I just need to understand my anxiety better. Lighting and staring at a computer I see are main issues as once I leave work and the stress is gone I'm good. I am also a constant teeth grinder w anxiety maybe that is an added reason?

I think you are right; these symptoms are related to your anxiety. While I definitely think you should still have an eye exam, my guess is that everything is fine. I'm only 25 and have had several floaters in each eye for as long as I can remember and my ophthalmologist assures me that nothing serious is wrong.

I think everyone's anxiety manifests itself in different ways. For example, mine happens to affect my G.I. tract and when I'm anxious, I get severe nausea and then true panic sets in, as I'm also afraid of vomiting. It seems that yours results in muscle twitching.

Our minds can be wonderful and viscous at the same time!

Hi Jgriff,

I hate the eye floaters I get them when I'm stressed or anxious or if I stare at a white wall. I saw the eye dr 3x in a year which is ridiculous but dr said my eyes are fine. I wear glasses for tv and driving at night. Go to the dr just get them checked out. I'm most likely positive it's anxiety and they can be really annoying

The worst part is when ur mind wonders. I have issues with my right pinky from working out have been grinding my teeth like crazy my right groin hurts and and a head ache so now the fear of stroke or tumor is here. I am using all techniques with success as no panic so cheers to that. Anxiety is difficult but will not take over my life
