End of 5th week on Zoloft...not feeling well

I know there have been a lot of posts recently regarding Zoloft but I wanted to post my own. I'm at the end of my 5th week taking only 25 mg of Zoloft in addition to my Effexor XR and klonopin.

I was feeling awesome until this past Monday...cried all day, anxious, dizzy, etc. Tuesday was basically a replay of Monday. Felt blah Wednesday and Thursday and actually has a mild anxiety attack, but feeling really depressed.

I'm concerned because I don't know what to think! Any ideas or input would be greatly appreciated. I need some advice!

Sylkn, wondered where you were i hate it when our people have these kind of days. I don't remember
what kind of therapy you are receiving or what kind of doctor you have. Did the prescribing doctor have any input as to what you might expect from the Zoloft?
It seems to be a wonder drug for many and a nightmare for others, i wonder if it's even up to therapeutic levels with your system? Sylkn is this for depression or panic/anxiety? I never had depression but was eat up with panic my only drug was xanax and it was a blessing for me.

Sylk,

It may be too early to tell since you are just in the first few weeks with the Zoloft.

You could be reaching therapeutic levels still...or maybe you've reached a first plateau...or maybe you are just having a temporary breakthrough of anxiety.

It can be confusing and frustrating to try to decipher what is going on.

Talking with your doctor could help you determine what your course of action should be.

I hope you get the answers you need soon, and start feeling better asap!!

Are you tapering off the Effexor? Or are you just adding Zoloft to the mix?

Hi

I'm on Zoloft one month now and I started at 50 mg. and now on 75mg. I'm doing abit better. Still feel anxious and dizzy but not as bad. Maybe speak to your dr. And see if you can up the Zoloft and tapper the Effexor ? Do you need both?

Thank you so much for always being here for me, it means the world to me.

Mom and Bam,

My Pdoc added the 25 mg of Zoloft in addition to my 150 mg Effexor XR.

The crazy thing is, I had my follow up appointment with him last Wednesday and I was feeling great! Then when Monday of this week came around, I was feeling nothing like I had been. 😢

I would talk to your pdoc and wean off effor and just try Zoloft. It a good med and there a lot of positive reviews on it. It just may help you better. That's just my thought. But pealed speak to doctor before doing and changes of you decide.
