Does anyone know if sleep medication can cause anxiety though.

I had to take some sleeping medication since I can't really sleep though. It seems like after I take it then I am really anxious though. It's like a anxiety feeling in my chest though. I just don't feel like being alone cuz it makes me think of more anxious things ya. Does anyone know if the sleep medication can cause this though. Is there anything else I can take to help sleep though. Any advice would be cool. Thanks.

I have not heard of sleep meds causing anxiety they are usually good at reducing anxiety.
