If I really just blocked the thoughts
Blocking thoughts will not get you to where you want to be. Our thoughts and feelings are what creates much of the fear and worry that can then escalate to anxiety and panic attacks. Unless we learn to stop, counter, interrupt or re-adjust our thoughts and feelings the cycle will usually continue.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and/or Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT) can be invaluable for reaching the goal to having more control over thoughts, fear and worry and in doing so reduces, minimizes or completely resolves anxiety and panic attack.
CBT and DBT is not a quick fix, this process can take time, patience and your wiliness to work through it.
