To me it feels like spacing out...like when you can relax and just stare off into space for a bit. I am there, but if I was a battery, I'd be at about 5%...
...BUT...D/P D/R is different in that you are not choosing to space out and not feel fully engaged...it is happening in spite of trying not to be in that state!
As far as coping skills...I just go with it. I figure it's my body and mind's way of forcing some 'down time' (space out time!) on me because I won't slow down! ;p
This is admittedly difficult at crucial times...like at work, ect...
...but the more you fight it, the worse it can get, because your overall anxiety increases.
I think it's different for everyone...this is just my take on it.:)
