Hello,

so im back, heart racing and thumping hard. I hate this.... I really do. I spoke to my doctor and she thinks I should up my meds to 100mg :( Im terrified to do this as I feel there is really no ho[e for me after suffering many years. Most of my life actually. Anyone on Zoloft? and what dose? does it help?

Hi there,

I couldn't help but respond, I have the same symptoms and am also on zoloft. My dosage is 50 MG taken before bed. I have been on it for 21 days after a repeat trial of Lexapro (which I had taken for 12 years successfully, then foolishly stopped it myself). My heart races, and I get severely anxious throughout the day completely unrelated to anything. The symptoms just appear. Also, I've developed chest heavyness, a feeling like my throat is swollen, and shortness of breath. I know it is my anxiety, and since I have seen some improvements since starting, I'm hopeful that I will continue to improve. I too am scared of a dosage increase! I wish this would all go away for everyone on this site!!

I really appreciate your response. I feel stuck at the moment and totally understand how you feel. I have same symptoms. I think I'm going to take the plunge and increase to 100mg. I have nothing to lose. Either it helps me or it doesn't. I'm tired of fighting this crap I didn't ask for. It's ruined my luf

Hey Bam,

I am sorry you are having an increase of symptoms lately.:( I know how discouraging this is.

Had you felt a little better previous to this latest experience? If so...know that you can get back to that place again.

This could either be breakthrough anxiety that will go away on its own soon...

...or your increase will hopefully bring you to a good place of management again!

Hey Bam,

The max dosage is 200mg so I don't see any need to worry about the increase, maybe look at it as a potential way to lessen your anxiety.

Getting anxiety about upping a dosage is counter productive, I know it's easy to say but try to keep in mind that the increased dose may be the best thing for you.

Sorry to hear you are having a tough time at the moment.

I would go with what your doctor is suggesting and increase to 100mg.

IS there nothing that can be taken except antidepressant and calming tablets. Something that can just block this enxiety once and for all..I hear some people are even scared to go to bed..they spend days without any sleep..look in have better days. But it is because I keep busy all day but when I get home i want to rest..then this devil 😈is always waiting somewhere to attack...
