Pressure in left temple???

Hey guys,
So the last few weeks I have been having this strange pressure in my left temple. It is painless, but startling. When it first began I also had some pain around my left cheek bone area. It went away for a couple days then today it started again out of nowhere, but once today it felt like my veins in my temple were twitching. It happened really fast, fast twitching like five of them. Anyone else experience this? Can this just be more of my evil anxiety? I looked online(which I have significantly slowed down on doing) and temporal arthritis keeps coming up. However I'm pretty young, only 31, so idk if it's even something I could have. Part of me doesn't even want to go to the doctor about it since it's painless. Also because I had an MRI earlier this year and it came back clean, of course this was before any of this started happening. Does any of this sound familiar to anyone?

Hi Mike,

A few things come to mind when reading of your experience...all benign...but something you'll want to check with your doctor regardless for peace of mind.

One is tension. Tense muscles in the neck and upper body can contribute to head pressure. This is of course anxiety related...and progressive muscle relaxation can help (see Stress Relieving Exercises link in the Resources)

Another related possibility is bruxism/jaw clenching...either in an unconscious manner while awake...or in your sleep.

Finally, could it be sinus related? Sometimes the pressure) pain is referred and felt higher up in the head.

These are all things to rule out...so hopefully you.can find your answers and relief!
