Apo-Sertraline 100mg Colour of Pill

I just got a refill for Apo-Sertraline 100 mg and its bright orange capsule. Is this the colour the pill should be??? I use to have the small yellow 25mg, than 50 now 100.

Hi Bam,

If you are unsure, call your pharmacy and confirm...it is likely that different dosages have different pill shape/color...but it doesn't hurt to check. (also time release capsules are going to differ of course)

...just found this...(Rx info site)

100 mg
Each orange, size 2 capsule, imprinted "APO 100", contains sertraline HCl equivalent to 100 mg of sertraline.

...and it said the lower doses (25 & 50 mg.) were yellow as you mentioned.

HCL=hydrochloride.

It is what the Rx is made of, structurally...that's all.:)

yes all well been on 100 since may. but have been taking them in lower doses so 4 capsules of 25mg to finish before I got my new prescription. so this is the correct capsule? I'll call pharmacy Thank you

yes pharmacy will confirm, here in the US they put right on the rx label the pill description. that said, i still always double check when they change my brand to a different generic online at drugs.com or pillidentifier.com even googling the shape, color and any imprint puts my mind at ease when i recieve a new rx or different manufacturer of something i've been taking.
