If you don't mind me asking, Hibee, about how long? I'm used to SSRIs taking a long time to kick in; I remember when I started Celexa that it took about a month before I really noticed a difference in how I was feeling. I know Prozac has an incredibly long half-life when compared to Celexa, taking it longer to build up in the body. I seem to remember somebody on here telling me it took nearly twelve weeks for them to notice a significant change.
Thanks for the kind words from everybody; yes, quitting smoking has been tough. The mood changes and anxiety came on my trip. I was very irritable for a couple of days and found myself getting really cranky over very small things. That passed pretty quickly. These days it's more missing the things I did *while* I smoked, like taking a break from my work and going outside the building to smoke every couple of hours etc. I've also noticed that my hand keeps going to my mouth as part of the habit of taking a drag, although that's starting to fade. As stupid as it sounds, it's helped to keep doing the things I did when I was smoking while realizing that I can't smoke. Now I'm going outside to take a walk around the building without smoking, which has got to be healthier! lol
