IMO, you'd be better off with the beta blocker.

Unless you fear having a major attack, you risk a dulling/sedative effect with a benzo at a time you want to be sharp

Use of coping skills such as breathing exercises and positive mantras will also help give you the advantage you need. (see our Resources if you need ideas/help)

Envisioning a great outcome goes a long way in ensuring it happens. :)

I would take the propranolol and take diazepam incase you need one.
