Need help can't sleep

Not sure if I am in panic mode or something is wrong. My right side feels off and I feel like something is wrong. I fell asleep and had a nightmare now all I can do is think of doom. Can't think straight right side of head now feels off not sure what to do tried working through the work sheets etc but still feel off. Is this a panic attack or is something wrong

Sounds like a nocturnal panic attack triggered by the nightmare....:(

Have you done breathing and Progressive Muscle Relaxation to try and get back to sleep?

How about Binaural Beats?

Do you have a rescue med...or Benadryl?

I agree with SC sounds like a panic attack triggered by your nightmare.

Thank you for help.

I did get back to sleep thankfully but have unfortunately had stomach issues most of the night and various hot and cold flashes which are freaking me out. Had a drink in afternoon so wants to steer clear of rescues benzo to be safe

Hey J.G.,

Okay, good call on not taking your benzo...I didn't realize...and yes, better safe!

Is it possible you ate something that didn't agree with you...or that you caught a stomach bug. Any fever, or body aches?

If not, continue with your coping skills and hopefully this will pass soon.

This might sound daft but If i wake from a bad dream or something i keep a bottle of olbas oil at side of bed , and i rub a couple of drops on my forehead , and a little under my nose it clears any fuzzy head and i can usually doze back off.
