Antibiotic Causing Panic?

Hi everyone..

I've had several days of real bad nighttime panic. Waking at 2am. Panic and strange kind scary thoughts that I would never usually have.. It's pretty terrible.

Wondering if this could be caused by an antibiotic I took a few days ago. It was a large dose , one time pill.

Nowhere does it say anxiety or panic are side effects of this antibiotic. However, I know these drugs often wipe your system pretty hard of any good bacteria.

Thoughts???? Experiences????

I believe they can if your already a bit anxious. I had never experienced anxiety from antibiotics before but recently while i had started with anxiety issues i needed antibiotics for a throat infection and my anxiety got worse but i was unsure if it was the antibiotics or the throat infection as it all manifested itself into health anxiety.
But things have improved greatly so hang in there . Up the coping skills if you can fresh air exercise and plenty of fluids all contributes to a healthier happier you.

Antibiotics always make me jumpy and grouchy. Peace
