Terrible night with bp med

This beta blocker has come to a whole new level. Now burning feet and lower legs, feel dehydrated, nausea for 4 days. I woke up last night in a panic. Almost had hubby take me to the ER and my BP was really high too. I haven't taken it today I am afraid to.

I am off to Dr. this morning and so scared of taking another medicine with side effects. I literally feel like I am being tortured with medicine and this is one of my huge fears.

I am sending positive thoughts and prayers that your appointment brings you needed answers. ..and a plan to move forward, that manages the BP, with a med that doesn't adversely affect you.

Hope all goes well at doctor's today, please let us know how you get on.
It must be so frustrating for you and adding to your anxiety.
I am very fortunate with the atenelol I have to take for my blood pressure from the day I started on it I have been fine, plus it helped with anxiety too.

Good look today here's to a very positive outcome xx

OK we agreed that I should taper off the metoprolol so I am taking half a dose for a week. In ways I feel better today and in ways I feel worse. I'm not sure what my bp will do after this but getting off this beta blocker I thinkk is going to be good for me. My pulse has been getting quick today with just a little exertion so that isn't fun but the end should be an improvement.

She too thinks I should try the hydroxyzine and we talked about taking citalopram.

I just hope I don't end up in the ER with a piked bp again :(

Sending support that this step helps you to feel better...and that your BP behaves.

Did I send you the link for lowering BP through meditation?

Although not a replacement for medication (when indicated)...

...it can certainly be a valuable tool. :)

yes I have that link. I also found some info on hand exercises (those things you squeeze) and bp that takes a couple months to help but still it is worth a shot.
