Panicking this morning, have a cardio appt

Can't get my bp down and I am freaking out she'll want me on more meds or send me to ER. Can't relax at all. My appt is in less than an hour and my bp is too high. Since I am on this med for bp I am shaky and feel crappy every morning and that isnt helping me. Trying to breathe. Nothing is going right this morning though of course either as usual. I don't want to go

She just wants to double my bp med. She doesn't know why when I get up my heart is racing or why I don't feel like doing anything any more or why my GERD is now worse since on this med but yeah lets double up on it. I have zero hope any more, I just can't do this.

I didn't want to google it but there. I have been having a rough time with it already. I have Barrett's esophagus and I have to be very careful with that. I do not want cancer. Why can't the Doctors who make me take this stuff know this.

SC is right lovely ... You could potentially be at risk with prolonged high BP.... So that will be why the gp needs you to be constant with the bp meds.
Yes there may be a slight risk with the reflux issues but the risk of that isn't as dangerous as not getting your bp under control.

Please just give it a try .....I am sure that you will start to improve when your bp is steadier. Especially if it is a beta blocker as this will calm you too.

I'm already at risk for esophageal cancer. I am already afraid of this. It has been three years since I was diagnosed with barretts esophagus. It isn't just the increased cancer risk from the med possibly relaxing the les valve more, it is also the acid flowing up into my esophagus makes me sick, gives me chest pain, nausea. It isn't fun. It's getting worse again. I was very sick with it before I was diagnosed and started the meds, changed my diet and propped up the head of my bed. I used to wake up choking on acid. They really need medicines that aren't going to ruin the rest of someones health.

I feel like either way I am screwed and I shouldn't have to choose which thing I want to risk. This is really messing with my anxiety and my bp is up higher now too. awesome.
