Blu's,
Oh my goodness...you are going to have an amazing time!!!
There may be some anxious moments along the way, but your experience will by far outweigh any challenge you face.
Preparation and your safe people/coping skills will be key! Start putting all of your tools in place for each situation...e.g., things to distract you on the plane, exercises/techniques you can do in your hotel rooms, and on public transportation. Who are you going with? Are they aware of your needs and can you trust them to help?...ect.
When we went to Ireland, that was the farthest I had traveled...and though I was with hubs, who is a seasoned (business) traveler...
...once we got there, he had work...so my daughter and I were on our own for over 24 hrs. I surprised myself by navigating Dublin, and making plans for two days of activities by myself.
When there is a world to explore...there is simply no letting anxiety get in the way, right?
You are going to do great! I am so excited for you.
Keep us updated as you can...want to hear all about
it, okay?
S.C.
