Hello
It's been 1 year that I have been on Sertraline @ 150mg now. I hate the way I have been feeling since I started. I kept with it thinking it would all pass but it hasn't. I been getting headaches I never got before, neck pain, burning sensation in my eyes since I increased to 150mg. My head feels weird and I have TMJ which I never had before. It's horrible. I'm want off this med. I want my old med back. I never had side effects like this. And I know it's a side effect as I never experienced what I have experienced within the year. Anyone on Sertraline and has had similar symptoms???
I contacted my dr. And waiting for her to call me back. Your thoughts???

Bam,
I don't have practical experience to share...but did want to say I am sorry you are having a hard time, and send my encouragement.
I hope your doctor gets back to you soon with some helpful guidance.

Hi Bam
I have never taken Zoloft but I would say that you have been on it for a year and have seen no improvements and the side effects outweigh the benefits then it's time to change medication.
Speak with your doctor to see what your options are.

Bam,
I've been on Zoloft for 11 years now and am in the process of weaning off completely. The first few years were great, but particularly in the last couple of years I've definitely felt some weird symptoms which prompted me to want to get off.
Definitely speak to your doc and see what the best plan of action is!

Blue Mama
What symptoms did you get?? I thought Zoloft comes out of our systems quickly?

I just started Sertraline again, 1 week in.
None of the annoying side effects so far, just increased to 50 mg today.
Maybe discuss with your dr about
lowering the dose?

Zoloft does not leave your system quickly. it was great for me but it lost its effect after 6 years. my dose wasn't as high and I had very few side effects.
