No updates here. Though, it doesn't bother me much anymore though it's there.
Honestly, my large amount of eye floaters are bothering me more. Can't enjoy outside or use PC without them all over the place. My biggest problem right now.
Do you have floaters as well?
Hei Clemxiii,
Happy to hear that you learned to deal with this. I am also trying to ignore the trails in my vision, and I have noticed that life is much more fun when I dont think about
this and try to ignor it. I think we need to always remind ourselves that things could be even worse (but hopefully it is not). Now (after 1 year of searching) I think these trails are not something serious/dangerous in the brain, that is why no doctor knows about
this and we do not have other seriouse symptoms as well in other parts of our body. And we just should learn to adap to this. Brain learns to live with this after a while.
Yes, I also have floaters, I guess these trails and floaters are kind of linked together (but many people have these floaters after age 20-30s, so this is something very common). My floaters started to appear right after the trails appeared in my vision, but today I have learned to ignore the floaters as well, they hardly bother me. Ignore them. And when working on computer try to change your eyes' focus eyery 10-15 minutes to some distance and blink firmly for 15-30 seconds.
To anyone reading this post later, I have had trails and floaters in my vision for a year now, with some headaches sometimes, and night vision issues. This was bothering me a lot in the begnings, but now I learned to live with this and am trying to ignore it. Have been at three different eye doctors, and they didnt find something seriouse, just a minor irregular astigmatism (this can be a reason for the trails). Another cause for this can be working a lot with computers and mobile phones. Another cause for this can be dry eyes, And there might be some other causes which seems to be not seriouse. So, if the doctors do not find something seriouse with you as well, just try to ignore it. Try two or three different expert doctors' opinion and if all say that it is not something seriouse, then stop searching for it (you will not find something). This is my experience. Try to live with it then if doctors say it is not serious.I had floaters before the trailing, so not sure if connected. I still have an appointment with Neuro sometime this month so I'll still update you on what I find out. Could be simply a high order aberration and we're just extremely intuned to the fact it causes the trailing.
Sadly, the floaters have progressively got worse, and really isn't normal for people in their 20's to have have them to the point you don't even wan't to go outside or look at a computer screen. A few is normal, with progressive increase as you hit older ages, but mine are already extremely bad, which sucks. There comes a time when there's just too many to ignore and too centered in the central vision. I will sadly mostly likely be forced to look at surgery to remove the vitreous which isn't going to be fun. Infections, inflammation, vision loss or other retina like post-op visual issues are things that can happen. Sad that I feel like I have to chance that since the floaters are too bad. If I just had a handful like a year ago, I wouldn't care, but like anything, too much of it will finally break a person.
Really sucks. Anyways, glad you're feeling better with your mindset towards the trailing.
