I have a terrible time with my blood pressure with each and every doctor visit, e/r trip, dentist appointment etc etc. I even get stressed taking the dogs to the VET.
I keep reading that before having your blood pressure taken at the dr's you should sit and relax. Well, that's my problem. I CAN'T relax! The longer I sit there the worse it becomes. I can feel myself losing control and I know my heart is beating too fast. I warn all the nurses before we even start the exam. And I always tell them that my b/p is fine, even low, at home.
So, my question is does anyone have problems relaxing while you're sitting in the waiting room? I have not found any way of chilling.
