Months of dizziness/lightheadedness is driving me nuts. I have a new fear of either fainting or getting a seizure. I Think about
it everyday.
MRI clear, stress echo clear, ekg clear. Is it really all mental ?
Please share your thoughts as it's interfiering with my life

Hi Rickk,
I am really sorry to hear of your struggles currently. 😔
You are not alone...as it seems that a lot of us are having set backs to some degree. It is just a part of the journey.
However, you were feeling better...and you can and will get back to that good place again!
Pull out all of your tools and work those coping skills. Finding the right regimen sometimes just takes some experimentation, but you will find what works for you if you are persistent.
If you are on an Rx...it may be time for a med eval with your doctor.
If not, then talking to your doc about
starting one...and or a therapy referral may be your next best step.
Never stop trying to reach your goals...you will get there!

You mean the fear if passing out and/or having a seizure?
Yes, completely normal and a very common anxiety worry.
Check out our 'Positive Affirmations/Mantras' and 'Therapy Worksheet' links from our Resources to learn how to speak against these thoughts.

Rick
The thoughts are very normal. We have all had them at one point or another. I am dealing with them right now. I know that I am okay, but I still think something is wrong with me. It is a heck of a cycle. We have tools on the top of the anxiety page that will help you out. Also sure for self help for anxiety that helped me as well.
I hope that you feel better soon.

One of my biggest triggers is fear of fainting and having a seizure. Even If I never experienced both. My minds wants to drift into this is it, you are actually gonna faint this time. I constantly have to tell myself that NO, you haven't before you will not now.
