Sunday I took my 5 mg Lexapro...Monday I stopped the Lexapro and started back on the Zoloft at 12.5 mg per my PDocs instructions.

Last night my body got really achy like I was getting the flu...muscle aches all over. Today, I am still a bit achy, but not as bad.

Do you think even though I was on such a small dose of Lexapro and replaced it with the Zoloft that it could be a withdrawal symptom from stopping the Lexapro? Or do you think it could be caused by starting the Zoloft again...or a combo of the 2?

I'm not overly concerned about it, but I guess I just need to hear my healingwell family members thoughts for a little reassurance.

From many posts that I have read here...a simultaneous discontiuation and start up can be challenging.

Though common, it is still a lot for your system to handle. It is however a good plan in the big picture since you are covered with both meds through the transition...and avoiding a possible set back.

Give it some time...really focus on your coping skills, and you'll get past this.😊

Hoping your new regimen brings some great management help for you!

Thanks so much for your quick response! I'm using my coping skills...along with taking it easy today, just to get through this hurdle. I'm staying positive and taking it one day at a time...it's time for me to peacefully walk off the merry go round and feel better!!!

Hi

Yes I think it's a combination of the 2 things should settle within a week or so but if they don't go back and speak with your doctor.
