This might be more of a psychology question..? But there isnt a forum here for that.
Anyway, I'm recovering from years of lyme, which does increase anxiety a LOT. Thats said, I'm now way better after decades. Us "lymies" learn a lot of herbal and natural supps to help along the way for that. Lyme effects the whole body, so its quite the learning experience too, incredibly overwhelming if you had symptoms a long time. I know what its like to be be blind, to only sleep 3 hours a night for years, to only being able to walk for one block. Thats all miraculously better now. What we dont talk about
is brain or psyc recovery.
That said I'm digging deeper and realy want to "cleanse and calm" my mind for good - the new me will be better than before LOL!!
A lot is said about
negative vs positive thinking. When your body has been stuck in a negative mode due years of chronic to illness, its hard to reverse. Chronic life altering illness can change thinking patterns for the worse. Anyone know of good links that help this? Chronic worry is obviously part of anxiety, not just chemical balances but also how your brain is "wired".
I can rewire trailer lights, but dont know how to re-wire my brain LOL. Its easier said than done.
Im not talking suicidal thoughts (dont have those thank god), just want to learn on concentrating on positive thinking and positive outcomes of life situations - like if your car transmission blew up, but the engine didnt. I also work in a negative environment, this is still increasing in the modern American work place after the US recession, so this can help in that area too.
I figure if any place on healing well know this, it might be here (?) I can goggle forever, but possibly save some time asking.
- On that note, I call myself a "realist", I look at issues head on to fix them. Whatever it is. Some so called positive people seem to think thats negative thinking LOL. I've heard this debate before. You cant ignore the ills of life, but you can make them better. A couple "fake happy" people I knew in life weren't so happy after all- to my surprise they suddenly ended their lives. They were fakes. Wow, sad. You can be positive without fooling yourself.
I'm real - if like gives you lemons, dont ignore it, make lemonade when possible. Thats my goal.
Anyone wondering about
chronic lyme - yes, its real, what it can do to the whole body can last for years. There are many possible reasons why it turns chronic in some and not in others. But this is not the place to discuss that, so I wont. : )
