This is coming up on week 3 of switching back from escitalopram to brand name lexapro. I've been battling high anxiety and anxious thoughts for a while. Last week I had a small episode that left me feeling uneasy and today I woke up with a feeling of heaviness in the chest and very aware of my breathing. I just started exercising again two days ago and have been trying to carry myself forward even though I dont feel like it. I'm still very fearful, worried, stressed and just a smidge hopeless. I have a huge move coming up and not sure what will happen to me but I guess I'll just try and ride it out. Haven't taken a xanax for over a week and a half.
Question for those with lexapro, did upping your dose from 10mg to 20mg give the same side effects or does it differ usually? I'm wondering if upping my dose when I move would be a better choice or doing it now? or just keep waiting it out to see if the brand name will help level me out again.

AK,
I'm sure the move is responsible for a lot of that stress and anxiety. I'm sorry you are having a rough time
.
Keep using your coping skills, and hang in there.

AK,
I too think this is situational...and it may just take time for things to settle before you are feeling calm again.
I would consult your doctor regarding your increase schedule...continue with the exercise...
...and just be okay with the fact that you are under a more than normal amount of stress with your move...
...and know that it's temporary...and that you can handle all that comes your way and get through this challenge.
Stay strong...dig deep...you can do this!
