Horrible winds cause anxiety

I am in Northern VA and the winds here are very strong today until tomorrow. Last night I was not able to sleep much with the noise.

This makes me so scared and anxious and keep thinking the worst... with all the family issues lately it is not helping. I took my klonopin today and I am hoping I can have a calmer day.

Weather is a pretty awesome force...one that we can't control, or often predict.

I live in earthquake country, so I get it. We've had a few minor ones recently...but having experienced Loma Prieta...I know the potential...

Wind can be very unsettling for many people. Use your positive mantras and other reassuring/soothing coping skills...and stay indoors as much as possible if that helps.

Hoping the elements calm down soon!

...oh, and IDK if laughter helps...it's one of my favorite distractions/tools. (if it's not yours, I apologize!!)

...when I read the title of your post...I got ready to answer with advice about calming down really bad gas!!!🤣🤣🤣

I read 'Horrible Winds'...and assumed you were having some digestive issues that was causing stress...😂

The winds give me anxiety as well. They also make me depressed, almost like the dead talking.
