I'm glad I found this site. I tried a few of the mediation videos. I will try the Progressive Muscle Relaxation. (I will try just about
anything) They started out like hypnic jerks but they progressed to really painful and all the time. Some days they occur every few seconds and last on and off all day. I can have hundreds in an hour. They are definitely worse at bedtime and in the morning.
The doctor suggested a muscle relaxer but I'm really sensitive to those, they knock me out. I tried CBT and keeping a journal but there seems to be no pattern to the symptoms and no apparent connection to what I'm thinking. It didn't seem to help.
I've been reading all the stuff in the resources. I'm going to cut down on the caffeine and try the mediation and muscle relaxation exercises.
Going back to Dr at the end of the week. Lexapro was prescribed for panic attacks and it is still working for that. The twitches are new. Scared to mess with the Lexapro, but it may come to that. I don't feel anxious, stressed or worried, I feel like my body is betraying me.
