Cymbalta

I'm starting cymbalta and wondered if anyone could tell me if it worked for them.

I'm currently on wellbutrin but the Medicine lady said that wellbutrin didn't work that well for anxiety. But, when reading about cymbalta I haven't seen anything that really says it's great for anxiety especially if I search meds for anxiety. It's rarely mentioned. But, welbutrin almost always is. It actually sounds like I may take both meds at least for awhile.

I have been on and off on Cymbalta (generic).I guess it helped.Its a med with lots of side effects so had to get rid of it.

Its mostly for body pains and depression.

Don't know about anxiety~talk to doc please.

It was the medicine lady (NP maybe) at a mental health facility who told me she wanted me to try cymbalta. We talked quite a bit and she asked several questions before deciding on it. I go back in a month and we might change meds, go stronger or stay the same.

I take two welbutrin tablets a day and as well as trazadone for sleep. I also take Metoprolol (sp) for BP but it has a side effect listed as lowering anxiety. You'd think I'd be in la la land all the time. So, between it all she thought maybe both doses of welbutrin might be too much.

Thanks, everyone for your thoughts. So far I'm not really feeling anything different but it hasn't been very long so I'm going to keep trying. I also have fibro so I'm hoping to get double help from it.

Cilly, I hope you find something that will help soon. I'm not sure about the cymbalta. I'm getting spacy and fidgety and anxious but I also have a new BP pill so I'm stopping cymbalta for a few days to figure out which is the problem.
