Interesting you bring this up as I have been on zoloft as well, and have increased a couple times with mixed results. I started back in February of this year at only 12.5 mg given my sensitivity to medication. I bumped up to 25 mg a month later, and started seeing some benefit. But, not enough to stand pat, so I bumped up to 37.5 mg end of July. I had 6 weeks of really great mental health on this dose, but have had a bit more GAD recently as compared to those 6 weeks. It seems to help depression a bit better than GAD from my opinion. I really haven't had many side effects when I increase the dose outside of some insomnia which I can curb by taking klonopin during that period. Like you, my Psy wants to me to bump up to 50 now to see if a therapeutic dose can be reached. Am I better now than I was back before I ever started taking Z? Yes, but I would like to see more improvement of course. So.....since I am on a low dose of Z now I figure I have some room to work with. Really hoping you hit the right dose. I guess since you have had some success to some degree it is worth trying to bump up now versus starting over with a new medication.
