I was on sertraline for 23 years at 50mg couldn’t go higher. I had break through anxiety going higher didn’t help went off a year ago and tried some others. Went back to sertraline 2 weeks ago is it possible it could work again

That's a tough question as we are all different when it comes to medications and it's effectiveness so all I can say is give it a go snd see if it works for you if not try something else.

Hi Lwill,

Do you currently see a P-doc, or use your GP for your prescription needs? If you don't currently have a psychiatrist that you consult with, I would recommend asking for a referral to one. This doctor will have the best knowledge of psychotropics...and could help you explore the possibilities of an augmentation that might help your reinstatement of your SSRI most successful.

Thanks, my doctor just augmented today with 15mg of mirtzapam. Takes a while for the stomach ache which comes sometimes to go away. On day 16 of sertraline. I do see a psychiatrist for drugs and therapy.
