Hi Faith,
I have had bouts of acute anxiety/panic attacks where I feel almost compelled to lay down. It is almost as if it's too much effort to keep my head upright. (hard to explain)
I believe it takes an extreme amount of energy to cope with anxiety, so I am no really surprised by this sensation.
Conversely, I have also been buzzing with energy after an attack...almost like a euphoric state...which could be from adrenaline, or even serotonin or dopamine coming back to good levels. So hormones/neurotransmitters could play a role in the energy level question as well.
Interesting topic, and I am curious what other will have to say as well!
