My partner has anxiety and sleep apnea that definitely coincide. He wakes up gasping far more often when he's anxious, and vice versa. A third element that also correlates for him is tension or misalignment of a specific vertebra in his mid-back. He sees a chiropractor and craniosacral therapist regularly to work on that area of his back, and the anxiety and sleep apnea both are greatly improved when his back is in good shape. Something to consider. We've often wondered how many people are medicated for feelings of panic that stem from a very mechanical, structural nerve issue that can be corrected with good bodywork. Good luck figuring out what works for you!
